We would need a generic "Keyboards" credit (which includes various keyboard (1) instruments). The term often used in liners in german is "Tasteninstrumente" (2). Also to be found: "claviers" in french, "tastiere" in italian credits. Translating all these with just a singular "keyboard" is most unsatisfactory when it obviously can include everything from grand piano or organ to sythesizers...

We already have a similar generic/plural "guitars".

closing this one too, keyboard with [keyboards] credit works jsut fine
for a new instrument as a family/Ensemble, please add another ticket detailing the work.

so to suggest making the already used as a generic keyboard credit the one we have, truly generic, and make another, specific electric keyboard instead.

Ulrich: one big difference I see here as opposed to guitars is that we don't currently have any sort of generic "keyboard" option, yet that's definitely an option that exists (and I suspect a fair amount of the uses of the electric keyboard instrument we have now are actually for a much more generic "keyboard" credit). (for guitars, we already have "guitar" which is exactly this generic option)

I don't think having a "keyboards" instrument is a good idea, for the same reasons that I want "guitars" renamed or removed (INST-330).
