          • Description - Mainly Considered as the worlds first Polyphonic synthesizer. It was first manufactured in 1939. It featured 72-voice polyphony created by divide down oscillators. It utilized 163 vacuum tubes, over 1,000 capacitors and contained Large amounts of wiring and hand sewn looms of cabling. The Production of Novachord was 1942 due to shortage of Electrical components. Only 1,069 Novachords were ever made and how much remains today is unknown.
          • Usage - The Novachord featured in some iconic movies like Gone With The Wind', 'Rebecca', 'The Maltese Falcon', 'The Ten Commandments', various sci-fi classics such as 'It Came From Outer Space', 'The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms', 'This Island Earth' and eminent composers such as Elmer Bernstein, Jerry Goldsmith, Henry Mancini and Dimitri Tiomkin scored for it in films produced by Alfred Hitchcock, John huston, Cecil B. DeMille and Frederico Fellini.

The first instrument was delivered to President Franklin D. Roosevelt on January 30, 1940 as a birthday present.
