This edit changed the name from 'viola da gamba' to 'viol da gamba', which is much less commonly used, both in general and in printed instrument credits. (A quick experiment with Google shows 1,560,000 hits for the former phrase and 16,800 for the latter.) If this change sticks, then hundreds of 'credited as' attributes would have to be added to existing performer relations.
Please can it be reverted, and 'viol da gamba' relegated to an alias?
