Description: Dhak is heavily used during Durga Pujas. The Dhaki(drummer) suspends the Dhak from the neck and ties it around the waist while resting it on his/her lap. Thus, enabling the Dhaki to play it while standing or sitting. In Eastern India, Durga Pujas only begin when the Dhaki starts playing the Dhak.
