In my ListenBrainz top artists report, there are multiple duplicates for the same artists due to different spelling or an alias. For example, DREAMCATCHER also exists as DREAM CATCHER, and GFRIEND also exists as 여자친구 (which is the Korean artist name). Both link to the correct artist MBID, which differentiates this from LB-1175.
My issue is similar to LB-1173, but it isn't due to small (Unicode) differences after renames, but a constant issue due to various aliases for the same artist.
Since the MBID is known, the two entities should be grouped, using any name (but preferably the default from MusicBrainz) as display text.
