A user requested a way to disable the notifications shown on the website when playing a track.
This would be a great addition to BrainzPlayer settings which are currently pretty devoid of options other than which music services to use.
Suggested settings to add:
- send playing now (on/off)
- send listen (on/off)
- avoid duplicates (example: don't send spotify listens if already connected to LB) on by default - send listen after... (song playback percentage or playback time [i.e. after 50% playback, or after 30 seconds]). Good inspiration for that is Pano Scrobbler
- always respect datasource order (play from URL in listen metadata, or prefer datasource priority list) (1)
- enable/disable browser notifications
- don't record origin URL in listen metadata (e.g. don't publish my navidrome instance URL publicly)
(1): Currently, if a listen on a page was played with Spotify (for example), BP will play from that Spotify URI, ignoring the datasource order, to ensure you are playing the exact same track instead of relying on text search.
