The test.sh is a bit messy. We do a lot of manual argument parsing. It might just be simpler to rewrite it to a python script. Since, the script runs directly on the user's computer (not inside a docker container), its preferable to use plain python without any additional packages. We can either manually parse args from sys.argv or use argparse.
