Reported on IRC:
"When adding a Release, there is an input on the MusicBrainz Web UI (<input id="release-group" type="text") that accepts an MBID as input.
I erroneously added an MBID of a release instead of a release group to that input. Rather than error out (perhaps through some form of input validation), the Web UI went and happily created a Release Group with the name of a MusicBrainz ID (https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/852f5b91-b0ec-45fe-bef2-4ad967f4dfdb with title "bfe15a59-b78a-44b5-a98b-00dc97893f59").
I've since corrected the mistake and that Release Group will get purged in the next few days, but having some form of input validation would have helped me as a user in this particular case."
We probably should at least ask for confirmation if the name is an MBID. It shouldn't be blocked outright, because inevitably someone will want to release an album named with an UUID at some point.
