MBS-1880 has been great and certainly helped out many, but it turns out that the 1 hour is slightly too short even to do all related follow‐up edits in one sitting, esp. for larger releases such as larger classical compilations.

https://community.metabrainz.org/t/why-i-dont-add-more-releases/431649 suggests making this time frame be "days not minutes", but I suggest maybe a more modest 6 or 12 hours to begin with. That should certainly be enough for a single sitting while still not allowing someone to overwrite other editors’ changes several days later.
