See e.g. https://musicbrainz.org/edit/65962003. As you can see, there are two different Sonny Boy Williamsons. They're credited as SBW I and SBW II (see wikipedia for more details if you care). In Artist in MusicBrainz, their names are not appended: there's just alternate names listed in the search box. When the correct SBW is selected the Artist as credited reverts to match the Artist in MusicBrainz (i.e., it was entered into the parser as SBW I or II, the correct one is chosen and the as credited changes to only SBW). If the as credited field is corrected back to what was entered into the parser, the credits copied (https://imgur.com/eGms0fO) and pasted (https://imgur.com/0YgvYpv), the Artist in MusicBrainz is correctly pasted, however the Artist as credited then matches what is in the in MusicBrainz field rather than what was copied in the previous step. I later discovered that if the [Paste Credits] is clicked a second time, the as credited field changes to match what was copied.
