Consider this Edit #78536731 - Edit medium

This edit did not include any recording changes whatsoever, but the edit history is showing that it did. The recording changes happened after the "edit medium" was created, but before it was applied, as a side effect of the following merges:

Edit #78374824 - Merge recordings
Edit #78403986 - Merge recordings

Playing with the test server, it seems that if the edits close in the other order then the edit medium edit is shown as creating new recordings in the history, e.g., https://test.musicbrainz.org/edit/70320907

It would be much less confusing if the edit history didn't show "edit medium" as making recording changes that were not actually done as part of that edit.
