In many cases more than one recording of a release is affected. In order to fix all of them at once the release editor is used. If the tracks were linked it could be reached faster.

Alternatively linking the release would also give some insight how many tracks/recordings are affected and whether it's worth the effort or another set might be more feasible fixing.
