The 'Search entities' item in the drop down menu, under Search, is essentially the search at the top right (which searches entities as well), but advanced.

This is usually called 'advanced search' on other sites, and users have missed it because they are looking for that title.

Additionally, the phrasing could be standardized among the entries of this menu.
