On my shelves, I order my CD by artists, then by original release dates (the earliest release date from the release group).

(I think it's pretty standard in libraries, shops, houses, etc.)

Today we can already order (sort) by artist or by release, but not by original release.

This should probably be another ticket:

And today we cannot order by some column THEN by another column (like artist THEN original release date).
