      Most of the times when I see some tags, I have to wonder what do they even mean. So it would be great if editors could add annotations to them, like we already can add them to releases.

          [MBS-13981] Add anotations for tags

          That specific tag was mostly used by one specific editor who is no longer active. It might not mean anything except for that editor in question, and might be related to their own library or whatnot.

          Which is kinda my point: tags can work like that, and nobody needs to explain their tags to anyone else. If you don't think a tag is useful, I guess you can vote it down - it will still be there and be of use for the original adder anyway.

          How would this work? Tags are not really anything else than a name, and the whole point of folksonomy is that they can mean whatever, so they could mean different things depending on who is assigning them anyway...

          Do you have some examples of the kind of tags you have in mind?
