I was hoping to use MB to find performances of a classical work.

But it seems it's impossible to add a performance of a specific work to an event. It can only be added with a "premiered at" relationship.

Or it can be added in the setlist, but this doesn't provide an oversight of performances in the work entry on MB.

While one might thing of an endless list of performances of well-known pieces not being that interesting, a lot of classical works are only seldom performed. Even if performed regularly, there is certainly no pain if we can find them back, including who performed them and when and where.

I regularly have to find out how often, and where a performance of a specific work happened, having only a short time span to find out (prepartion for classical radio program every week). There is no real place which gathers this info now. IMO, MB is the most suitable place to look.

It would be nice if this was introduced, so over time, we might at least get a list of the most notable performances (those documented).
