          Now that we have the lastupdate columns (or we will soon) we can add this feature later. No real pressing need to get this done for NGS.

          Rob, a basic fix for this issue was submitted to code review at:

          I agree with Lukáš' comments there, and see no way to solve this issue without adding last_update_date columns to every bit of data which may end up in a WS result.
