Sorry for the confusing summary.

Specifically, when changing artist credits on track 7 of http://musicbrainz.org/release/ffdaac50-aeac-4ea8-9e60-981a0d7c9e81 , track 23 is changed to link to the recording previously associated with track 24. (Both 23 and 24 are 15 seconds of silence.)

In this case, it doesn't really do any damage, but the same thing might happen if two different tracks have same title and length?
