      See STYLE-518 for actual mapping.

Please note that Musixmatch album pages are too fuzzy to link to.

This was reverted because of lack of style approval. Well, STYLE-518 deals with that. URLs nowadays seem to be like: https://www.musixmatch.com/artist/Bruno-Mars / https://www.musixmatch.com/lyrics/Mark-Ronson-feat-Bruno-Mars/Uptown-Funk

Why do we restrict cover art, lyrics and scores at all? Is it because the community only want a limited choice of sites, or because of potential legal issues? If it's the former, why do we only have restrictions for three relationship types? If it's the latter and MB has said there are no legal issues, why do we need to ask style to check we have permission to link to the site?

(Just because a site is whitelisted doesn't mean we're required to use it and we do still have a voting system...)

I've added this to todays meeting agenda

          My main concern is indeed:

it has not been covered whether or not people actually consider musixmatch a useful resource to link to bq.

IMO this question resolves to: who decides what data is included in MB database and then displayed on the web site: community or MetaBrainz?

As far as the legal considerations go, Rob has OK'ed this relationship. As far as permission from musixmatch goes, they have given it in person (myself and others at the summit are witness to this).

There has been no discussion on the style list, presumably under the impression that the above would be enough. However, it has not been covered whether or not people actually consider musixmatch a useful resource to link to, or whether the "license" is acceptable (I don't know what this means) - I hold no opinions there because I don't dabble in style

Shall I revert my changes until this has happened?

To my understanding, adding a new Lyrics site to the white list should be approved by the style council: http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/Proposals#Special_Procedures

Has this been done in this case?

As per MBS-3744, we can use http://lyr.cx

I don't think this is possible actually, as musixmatch don't seem to offer lyrics on their website (it's just an API).
