As I was discussing on IRC with navap earlier, it would be nice if http://test.musicbrainz.org/edit/conditions were a lot more user friendly (and making a note of it now so I don't forget later ).

The idea of the table was probably nice in theory, but I think in practice it's just too complicated. The table is already three full screens big for me, and NGS will only add even more edit types.

My proposal is to only list the edit types on that page. Each edit type would then link to a page specifically for that edit type, and that page would contain all the relevant information.

An advantage of doing it that way is that we can link the edit types to the relevant conditions page instead of the wiki - most of the wiki pages for edit types are missing, out of date or incomplete anyway. Generating the pages on the server instead of trying to manually keep them up to date on the server would also mean that the information wouldn't be out of date.
