When I load https://musicbrainz.org/artist/d2ced2f1-6b58-47cf-ae87-5943e2ab6d99/edit locally it takes 36 seconds. The catalyst debug thing shows that the biggest offender is _generic_link, taking over 20 seconds of time. When I change _generic_link to be iterative instead of recursive, it saves approx. 19 seconds.
