      There are a number of instances where a given URL will for 90+% of instances be a given type, but you will still sometimes want to use it for something else.

      E.g., using Wikisource for biographies instead of lyrics ( https://chatlogs.metabrainz.org/brainzbot/musicbrainz/msg/3660884/ ), making autoselect for Soundcloud to "stream for free" but still allow "download for free" (MBS-7727), ...
