As the description suggests, if you add a new Place via the pop-up window generated from the drop-down search menu, the Area search and coordinates parser do not work. It is still possible to enter coordinates, but the pop-up map does not appear.

As per the tag, I have only observed this bug on the beta site. I will update this accordingly if I find it to also exist in the live database.
