Currently, a user may be in the situation that they don't want to submit listens from Spotify (their account is already linked with LB and they don't want to create duplicates).
However the service that reads listens for Spotify users is a long loop over all the spotify users, and that creates a delay that is especially apparent from playing-now listens (that are supposed to show what you're listening to right now not 5-10 minutes ago).
I would very much like an option to be able to set up my LB mobile app to always send a playing-now listen for Spotify.
The two ways I see of doing that:
- add a single option to always send a playing-now listen that overrides the listening apps list settings
- allow to separately activate/deactivate regular listens and playing-now listens for each listening app in the list
They both have pros and cons; the first option is easiest but could mean sending listens that the user deactivated an app for (for example I don't necessarily want it to send the youtube videos I watch on my phone).
The other option allow for more control, but requires a more complicated UX/UI.
