Picard closes on me within 5 mins of using the program. I start assigning the correct information for music it gets wrong and after about 5 mins it closes.

[PICARD-1343] Picard closes on me repeatedly

The next version of Picard will trigger an uninstall of the previous version to avoid issues like this.

Just a note that similar reports where solved by completely uninstalling Picard (removing the install folder, if it was still present) and re-installing. See also e.g. PICARD-1469

What you could try is opening Picard from the Windows command line. For this open the "Command prompt" in the start menu. In the opening Window type:

          "C:\Program Files\MusicBrainz Picard\picard.exe" --debug

and press Enter. Now Picard should start and will print some output to the command prompt. Use Picard until it crashes, then give us the complete output, it hopefully contains some clue why it is crashing for you.

Not sure what more information I can give you. Very new to using this program. I'm not using any plugins. Literally just downloaded the 64bit version. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

(sorry for the status issues, was accidentally set as in progress and that's the only way to undo it)

Can you provide more infos ?
Hard to help you without knowing what you are doing.

Do you have any plugin enabled ?
