The "remove" function performs two distinct functions:
- Remove albums from the right or left hand pane
- Deletes the associated files
Using a workflow of cleaning up one album at a time (which is necessary now that I've skimmed the low hanging cream), I get a buildup of saved albums in the right hand pane. I also get spurious albums if I do a scan and the tracks on the album are assigned to incorrect albums, and I then move them individually to the correct album.
The only apparent way to clear out those entries is to Remove them. But I also have situations where I want to remove entries from the right or left hand pane, but not actually delete the underlying files. If I do that to clean up the panes, I also remove the files permanently.
A better solution would be to separate deleting files from removing entries in the workspace. If that's not practicable, at least use of Remove should confirm that the user wants to delete those files.
This is technically an enhancement, but I'm filing it as a bug due to the data loss.
