Currently, there are options for:
1. Use release (artist-release) relationships
2. Use track (artist-recording and artist-work) relationships
"Producer" relationships can be added at both levels:

Some users are only interested in the sound producer, not the executive producer. (This is alluded to in the guidelines for the relationship, which instructs editors not to guess attributes that aren't explicitly mentioned in the credits.) In theory, executive producers should be at the release level rather than the track level, but this may not be true in some types of compilations, or if editors are ignoring guidelines.
For the users who want only sound producers, they would need some kind of advanced metadata option to "Ignore executive producers"
