Every step of the processes is painfully slow. From adding a single album to the left pain to saving the files.

I sometimes have to restart because the process of dragging a file from windows explorer hangs up both picard and the windows explorer.

When it does work, I need to check the log to see if it is still working and to see if it has imported all the files. According to the log posted below, it took 27 minutes just to drag a 10 CD boxed set into the left pane.

After hitting save, it took 4 hours just to save and move the same 230 files. My computer is no slouch and my network is gigabit. It only takes about 5 or 10 minutes to move 2 GB of files outside of picard

My search for a cause/solution has shown that some people are able to process 1000s of files with little to no issue. While other users are experiencing the same problem. I am guessing it maybe in the settings somewhere
