Picard has some serious performance issues when processing releases with many tracks, e.g. https://musicbrainz.org/release/cfffccee-5d4c-4822-97b7-a99f33a4aa86

When matching tracks to this release the UI freezes until all files have been processed, and overall matching files to a release causes a lot of UI updates.
