When viewing a tag that has a comma in it, such as https://musicbrainz.org/recording/731f2908-05d2-48a8-b042-11bba6eebb2b ("I Am Hers, She Is Mine"), it appears as "I Am Hers,She Is Mine", with no space between the comma and the next word. This happens across other fields, such as the album title too (https://musicbrainz.org/release/6569c175-1840-4dd9-8a00-371b1f4c4e20). It also strips any spaces that existed in previous/existing tags as well.

Will be fixed in next release by Qt5 update

Cool, thanks a lot for checking.

We will do a new release with this then. I originally thought we would be able to do a release before Christmas, but I think it will be in January then.

          Quickly checking, it looks fine.

Still an issue under macOS 14.x and Picard 2.10.

Once we have the 2.9 release out we'll switch focus on getting the Qt6 port merged. I'll provide a test build then, then you guys can verify if it really solves the rendering issues.

I found another kerning issue, There is extra space between the "O" & "w" in "Owl" in one instance.

The issue mentions this is not happening for Qt6. I can't reproduce this on macOS 12.6, but this might have different reasons. E.g. I have no Mac M1 available and also not running on a HiDPI screen. Both could make a difference here.

But the port to Qt6 is the way forward anyway, especially for supporting the M1 macs and newer macOS in general.

It also appears to be after periods too. Still a problem in Picard 2.9.0b1.
