I'm not sure why Picard 2.11 is attempting to drop support for using recording relationships only.  Some users only want to use relationships attached to recordings, not relationships attached to releases, because they want precise data rather than imprecise data.

Unless I'm missing something, it looks like PICARD-2777 tried to change the user interface to match incorrect documentation, rather than fixing incorrect documentation to match the intended behavior of Picard.
