      The page that describes what might be the cause for work not saving ( https://picard-docs.musicbrainz.org/v2.12/en/troubleshooting/not_saving.html ) mentions what might be the problem (readonly write protection) but doesn't go into how to solve that problem much less how to tell if it evn is the problem.
