We are currently building the macOS version with the latest Qt6 version available on PyPI. This means we only support macOS versions that are supported by Apple at the time the Qt6 release was done. For the current Qt 6.11 this is macOS 13.0 Ventura.

As we did for Picard 2, we should also support a build for older versions. Unfortunately this also means using an older Qt6 version, which might have limitations. Also Apple drops support for older OS versions very quickly.

A good target currently would be Qt 6.8 / macOS 12.0 Monterey:

• Qt 6.8 generally seems to work well (but this needs more exposure to verify)
• macOS 12.0 supports various Mac models back to 2014 (mac mini) / 2015. See https://support.apple.com/de-de/103260
