Type:
Bug
-
Resolution: Fixed
-
Priority:
Normal
-
Affects Version/s: 3.0.0rc2
-
Component/s: Profiles, User Interface
-
None
Profile-overridden settings are only highlighted on the first Options page shown; other pages show no highlighting until the dialog is re-applied ("Make It So!") or reopened.
- Steps to Reproduce
1. Options > Option Profiles: New > enable the General and Metadata categories > Make It So!
2. Options > General -> nothing highlighted.
3. Make It So!
4. Reopen Options -> the General category is active and its options are highlighted.
5. Select the Metadata category -> nothing highlighted.
6. Make It So!
7. Reopen Options -> the Metadata category is active and its options are highlighted.
8. Select General -> nothing highlighted.
-
- Expected
Settings overridden (or tracked) by an enabled profile are highlighted on every options page as soon as it is displayed, regardless of which page was shown first.
-
- Actual
Only the page that was active when the dialog was opened has its per-widget highlights applied. Switching to another category shows no highlighting until an event forces a full re-highlight (applying changes, a theme colour change, etc.).
Reproduced on Windows (portable install) and confirmed on Linux (from source)
