Prior to adding the aliases to http://beta.musicbrainz.org/work/2088dbfb-b916-4d29-8883-cd5fd60c6c28 — searching for "Carmina Burana" returned that result first rather than its work parts. After I added the aliases that it has (including the exact-match english and German aliases), the search result changed from first with a score of 100 down to 37th with a score of 67. Not even on the first page.

Adding more aliases (especially if they exactly match the expected search entry) should not make the results worse.
