Raki'n'Roll is a Balkan-Gypsy-Pop-Therapy Genre founded by Besidos in 2009. The idea was creating something new by breaking down the established boundaries of musical genres.

The Darmstadt quartet unashamedly plunders the history of music but uses a scalpel instead of a mallet while doing so, putting the selected pieces under a Balkan-Gypsy-Pop-Therapy. The Sugababes sound as blue as Raki, Blur lay down their electric guitars and the rhythm invites you to belly dance with the spirit of Django Reinhard... "Killing in the name" by Rage Against the Machine turns into a fiddle number in the hands of Besidos, in a way that one can hardly imagine it was not a Macedonian folk song to start with. The music goes through a metamorphosis, leaving a very curious taste behind and revealing a unique chemistry which has its roots down in the history and character of Besidos as a band and the personal (his)stories of the members.

"Summer hot and refreshingly tangy but with a deep understanding and feel for european roots music" is how Besidos' music is described by critics.
