CDV (CD Video) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD_Video)
The predecessor of the VCD: a CD/Laserdisc hybrid. Primarily used for music videos.

Hybrid SACD
A Super Audio CD with both a SACD layer and a standard CD layer so it can be played back on a normal CD player.

Blu-spec CD (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-spec_CD)
A CD manufactured using the Blu-ray Disc manufacturing process.

CD+G (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD%2BG)
A CD with some of the normally unused channels loaded with graphics that can be played back on a compatible device. Often used for karaoke.

SHM-CD (Super High Material CD)
A CD manufactured using a special polycarbonate that allows for better reading by CD players.

HQCD (High Quality CD)
A CD with the same proprietary polycarbonate as an SHM-CD but with a special alloy used for the medium (instead of aluminum).
