      I think this should count as a genre. There are labels specializing in it, books about it, Wikipedia considers it a genre.

          while there's not really a cohesive "sound" for this genre, I think this is very much a genre worth adding. there's a great video on the genre too (tho I don't know if he uses the term "genre" in the video):
