When listing out casts for audio dramas, currently the character an Artist is playing is represented as:
"Relationship: Christopher Eccleston (English actor) performed spoken vocals [Ninth Doctor] on Big Finish Ident"
This doesn't link the particular performance to the character.
MusicBrainz allows us to create People and Characters, and they can be linked to each other, but where a character has been played by multiple artists, it's important to link this relationship on the recording itself.
Ideally you would create a relationship on the recording, select the Artist which would be an instance of a person, then select another artist which would be an instance of a character.
Unsure whether this could be incorporated into spoken vocals or whether a new relationship type would be required.
This ticket goes sort of hand in hand with STYLE-2688, but each can be treated separately as they work as independent improvements.
