Currently, BookBrainz has no style guidelines, and assumes that editors are familiar with the MusicBrainz style guidelines and apply them with a few necessary modifications when editing. It would be nice to eventually have our own style guidelines, and we'd like to start with a guideline for names of things (aliases).

This guideline should be based on the MusicBrainz Titles and Artist guidelines (http://musicbrainz.org/doc/Style/Titles) and (http://musicbrainz.org/doc/Style/Artist), and only needs to cover English language artists and titles (although language-specific guidelines should be kept to a minimum). In addition to the MB guidelines, it'll be necessary to get feedback as you go along from the BookBrainz developers and particular editors (CatQuest and reosarevok on IRC may be helpful).
