Cover art that include a custom color profile in their image metadata do not appear to be properly converted to sRGB when generating the thumbnails, resulting in incorrect colors when viewing them on MusicBrainz.
For example, see the cover art for the following release: ムソウマテリアライズ
This is a digital release, which includes the digital versions of the cover art used on the physical release. These were saved with the Adobe sRGB color space, presumably because this is what the designer/illustrator for this release used when creating it.
Since the color space was not properly converted to sRGB, the colors appear duller than they should, due to the higher coverage of green and cyan colors with Adobe sRGB.
This can be A/B compared by opening one of the thumbnails (e.g. 1200px) in one browser tab and its original uploaded image in another. Most modern browsers should convert the color space of the original image automatically for proper viewing.
