Archived request from the wiki:
Tarbüş
- Other names: Tarbush, Tarbüş, Tenorbush, Tenorbüş
- Other links: Lu Edmonds
- Family: Strings
- Description: a type of cümbüş
- Appears on:
- England, Half English, track 4 (now credited as cümbüş)
This is a difficult issue and initially I would have closed as "novelty" or "incomplete", the only person working with "Tenorbüş" and Tarbüş is this one Lu Edmonds person (i.e. it's a novelty used by only one person.)
see https://rachot.cz/les-triaboliques_/ http://www-personal.umich.edu/%7Emhuey/instruments/index.html etc. Wikipage about cümbüş does not mention any of these variants.
However http://www-personal.umich.edu/%7Emhuey/instruments/index.html mentions that a different name for this is saz cümbüs which *is* mentioned on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%BCmb%C3%BC%C5%9F
All these variants should probably be added - we have banjo guitar, banjolele and banjo mandolin after all.
So this then becomes a "add büşes from cümbüş page, and add tarbüş and tenorbüş aliases to the saz cümbüs"
That's what I have so far, but this still needs Extensive Research.
