- Description: The "tamboril" ("tabal" in Valencia) is a cylindrical membranophone percussion instrument, typical of Spain and Portugal, similar to tabor but longer and narrower box. Usually, it hungs of the player's left arm, leaving the right hand to hit it, and using the left hand to play the three-holes flute ("txistu", "pito" or "gaita charra"). More info: Wikipedia
