This percussion instrument consists of two separate tablets on hardwood or tile flat stone, which is sounded by placing them between the fingers of one hand and applying a flick of the wrist to peal. They have different shapes and figures in the tradition of each place or the whim of the manufacturer, although usually predominate anthropomorphic. Sometimes they were used up to three in each hand to give more strength to the patter. Sticks call those made of wood, and tarrañuelas, tejuelas or sherds that are built in clay or earthenware
