Disambiguation: A two-string bowed luted with a wooden body
Description: The two brass strings are tuned so that they are only a fifth apart. The horse hair in the bow is loose. There are usually two rebabs (one for pelog and the other for slendro) in each ensemble but they do not play together. Rebabs play in free time, finishing phrases after the beat of the gong agent.
