It is a rather old musical instrument, first used by the ancient Dacians to signal an upcoming battle. It consists of a large tube, reaching upwards of 3 meters in length, with one wider end, thus creating powerful, deep sounds. It is now used by Romanian and other Eastern European shepherds, to guide either sheep or dogs towards them.
