I wanted to see the new Year in Music feature and I browsed a little bit here and there and something came to mind.

Why is LB not using release groups for all its top this top that?
(it's using releases)

For example:

• New albums of your top artists: https://listenbrainz.org/my/year-in-music/
• Top releases: https://listenbrainz.org/my/charts/?page=1&range=all_time&entity=release
• Top releases: https://listenbrainz.org/my/reports/?range=week#top-entity

I don't know but to me it would be more sensitive to have release groups rather than releases, in these kinds of lists.
But maybe LB does want to show which edition we listen to.
Why not, then it's only a question, you can close this ticket with the answer.
