My idea is that you could make a playlist of works rather than just recordings. Then every time you played a track on it a different recording based on a works would play.

An example is Christmas playlists. There is countless versions of the same Christmas classic songs based on the same works. With a playlist like this you could hear your favourite songs but different versions each time keeping it fresh!
