We have more people asking us how we manage MBIDs internally and when they are used and when not. Questions we've gotten:

1. Are my MBIDs (submitted with listens) used during ingestion?
2. Are my MBIDs used in stats.
3. Are my MBIDs being used to show cover art?

Please write a documentation page that generally describes how we use MBIDs and then describe specific deviations from that as they pertain to our various features.

Finally, we should add links to our web pages in suitable places to the documentation, so that users can discover that on their own.
