if i think about the neighborhood of a band, i think about the other bands that the band members are in. or bands where family members are in. and this is data we can pull directly from musicbrainz.

i do like the idea of "other people that listen to this band ALSO listen to this..." but that feels more vague...

also there are some smaller bands that don't have enough listens, so they don't have any neighboors. but the bandmembers are in other bands, so it would be nice if they have neighbors to.

also in the blogpost https://blog.metabrainz.org/2024/01/31/listenbrainz-music-neighborhood/ about the music neighborhood, it says something about race from one band to another.
but this race is based on temporary data. if more people listen to other bands, the neighborhood would change. for band members, bands could get more members, and members could be in more bands. but it won't change because how users are.

also don't get me wrong, i do like the "other people who listen to this band also listen to this". but maybe we could add bands from bandmembers in a different color or shape, also the length of the line could be how many of the band members are in the other band (if there are 4 bandmembers in a band and 3 of them also play in another band it could be closer then if only 1 bandmember is in the other band)
